- E6 and above can sign for MA, TA, and be OIC or Range

2. OTHER SUPPORT:
PORT-A-JONS and DUMPSTERS:
- POC: call at 221-4588. You will need to meet contractor at building
6110 to lead to your training area. The contractor will not place the item
automatically. Units need to provide guide.
FOOD SERVICE:
- Turn in food requests to the Camp Bullis Dining Facility, building 5107.
POC call 221-5505.
- Requests for MREs and mermites go to RLBC, fax 221-1810, phone
221-2270.
3. POINTS OF CONTACT:
- FIRE DESK:
(210) 295-7510 Manned 24 hours a day 7 days a week, monitors
radio traffic, telephone communications, and all unit training. The
Fire Desk is where all units sign out ranges, training areas,
and maneuver areas. Units make hourly communication checks at the
top of the hour and request hot and cold times from the
Fire Desk. The Fire Desk screens all access to the Camp
Bullis training areas.

Run
the automated ranges and conduct
safety inspections of all units training at Camp Bullis . The Range
Controllers inspect all ranges and training areas when
units are ready to clear. All brass and trash must be removed
and all training assets returned to their place of storage.
- SCHEDULING:

maneuver
areas and live fire ranges. Requests for training can be submitted
on line after receipt of an account
and password or can currently
be scheduled using FSH form 2070 (ground ops) and
CSFS 2071 (air ops).

- RANGE MAINTENANCE:

all live fire and
automated ranges, target
holders, firing points
and range buildings.
4. POLICIES AND PROCEDURES:
SIGNING FOR A
RANGE:
- Users
must have the following to sign for a range
- a valid
RSO card for the RSO and Range OIC.
- 2 copies
of their risk assessment (1 for Range Control
and 1 at their training site, see safety for details).
- Communications
- Safety vehicle (capable of carrying a liter over
rough terrain).
- Corpsman, Medic, or combat life saver depending
on the type of training.
PYRO AND TRACERS:
- All Pyro must
be cleared before use by communicating with Range Control.
- The Fire
Department has the final say on pyro use based on humidity
and the fire risk.
- Use of tracers must be cleared in advance by the Camp Bullis commander.
- Blanks do not have to be cleared.
ROAD MARCHES, PT, AND CONVOY TRAINING:
- All road marches, PT, and Convoy
Training must have an overlay submitted for approval 10 days in advance
of the event.
- Include the date, unit, and time of training.
POVs:
- POVs are restricted in the training areas.
- POVs must receive a vehicle pass from Range Control prior
to entry into the training area.
- At no time are POVs allowed
east of KD Bravo or north of Cowgill Rd.
- Units with small groups
of POVs that require access must submit a list of personnel
they wish to be given vehicle passes.
- The list must include
the date, time and location of training along with the vehicle
driver’s name,
make, model, and license plate number.
PT AND BICYCLES:
- Running through
the training area gate is authorized between 0600-0730.
- Groups larger
than 6 persons must have a fall out vehicle, and reflective
belts are required at all times.

- Bicycles may only pass thru the training area
gate with prior approval of the Camp Bullis commander.
ENVIRONMENTAL:
- Digging questions need to be directed to at 295-7889.
- MRE Heater questions need to be directed to at 295-7873.
