The CPAC Director is the principal staff officer responsible for providing civilian personnel advice and assistance to the staffs and command groups of Fifth Army, MEDCOM, BAMC, AMEDD Center and School, USAMISSA and other tenant commanders.

The CPAC is a support activity of the Fort Sam Houston community, providing comprehensive civilian personnel support to the installation, the local defense community, the city of San Antonio and customers from all walks of life.

Foremost in the CPAC duties is to provide information and management advisory services to commanders, managers/supervisors, employees and prospective employees concerning the effective acquisition, management, utilization and training of the workforce.

The CPAC executes all its services in accordance with governing laws, rules and regulations mandated by Office of Personnel Management, Department of Defense, Department of the Army, as well as command directives and collective bargaining agreements.
