Lesson 1 - Defining Sexual Harassment
(Continue 3)
The common conception of sexual harassment is that it involves a male supervisor who tells a female employee that if she sleeps with him she will get a promotion or otherwise be better treated - known as quid pro quo sexual harassment. There is no dispute about such behavior, but that may be the least common form of sexual harassment. In this program, we will cover all types, but the focus of our attention will be on somewhat more subtle forms of sexual harassment—what is known as the "hostile working environment."
