When you
complete
the program
your ability
to define
sexual
harassment,
identify
language
and behaviors
that may
constitute
sexual
harassment
and explain
why a reasonable
person
might honestly
regard
some behaviors
(including
acts that
might previously
have been
thought
of as harmless
flirting)
as sexual
harassment
will be
enhanced.
An
underlying
objective
of the
program
is to eliminate
uncertainties
about sexual
remarks
and behavior
in the
workplace. The
course
assumes
that when
people
know which
physical,
verbal
and non-verbal
behaviors
might be
considered
sexual
harassment
(and are
aware of
the consequences
of those
behaviors)
they will
avoid them. If
you supervise
others,
you will
be more
attentive
and responsive
to indications
that sexual
harassment
may be
a problem
in your
workgroup.
