Parking is available behind the building and can be accessed from either Stanley or Wilson Roads from Hancock Road. Local ACES operation is managed from this facility.

ACES Testing Center

Testing Services- The Education Center has testing services for active duty soldiers, all other reserves, guard, military dependents, retirees, DoD civilians, space A! While active duty personnel have priority, testing for all others will be done on a space available basis.  ACES testing services personnel attempt to test individuals as soon as possible after a request is made.  Testing services are free to military personnel with the exception of DANTES sponsored certification exams.  For all other eligible customers, many tests and evaluative services are free, although some do require a fee.

The Army Learning Center (ALC)

Building 2247, is located next door to the main Education Center.

It contains the MOS Library and materials needed to study for military proficiency tests and boards. Military correspondence courses from all of the Armed Services may be ordered.

Services provided include the following: CLEP/Annenburg Video Series , Academic Testing Resources , and Training Room.

Education Counseling Services

The ACES counselors will assist you in setting and clarifying realistic long and short range goals.  This process involves the development of a degree program, tailored to your specific needs and abilities, which will enhance your active duty career and provide you the education and training necessary to be successful after you leave the military.  The counselors will provide information concerning:

PLATO/Life time Series Labs

These labs provide a wide variety of basic skills training, academic testing preparation programs and advanced skills training.

Tutors are available to assist customers with academic preparation. Customers interested in using these services must be cleared by an ACES Guidance Counselor prior to beginning class.

All customers will be tested prior to enrollment for tutoring services.

Computer Lab Services

In order to help provide lifelong learning opportunities, ACES on Fort Sam Houston has opened several computer labs which are available to the Fort Sam Houston Community.  These include:

    ACES College Computer Lab, Bldg. 2247, Room 101 hours of operation are Monday to Friday from 0730 to 1630 hours.
