The NEC uses remote access software to access customer computer equipment. This allows the NEC to more efficiently work customer issues without having to "dispatch" services to the customer site. It also allows for the remote installation of critical software updates issued by either software manufacturers or Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVA). The Desktop Management Group is responsible for the Tivoli and SUS Applications and servers and end user machine deployment.
