PASO Mission
Lead and manage quality Information Technology (IT) Project Management (PM) projects and services for Fort Sam Houston (FSH) customers. Deliver professional PM customer service for organizations requesting IT assistance using Project Management methodology, tools, and techniques. Provide expert advice to user organizations/tenants in support of new automation initiatives and strategic plans, including BRAC/MILCON construction. Evaluate ad define user organizational needs for services and products and incorporate them into the IT strategic plan. Analyze customer requirements and execute automation capabilities to deliver effective IT solutions to projects for FSH organizations.

What We Do
1. Initiate projects: Establish project, meet with customer, determine initial requirements, and identify all stakeholders.
      • Assist customers in establishing start-up of automation projects
      • Assist customers in identifying IT requirements

2. Plan projects: Develop a plan, refine requirements, define the scope of the project, develop schedule, estimate costs, and plan procurement.
      • Work with customer to identify funding requirements

3. Monitor and control projects: Oversee project work, control scope and schedule, reports status, coordinate quality control, report performance, monitor and control risk, and monitor contract performance.
      • Attend meetings with customer
      • Coordinate with quality assurance to monitor quality control
      • Manage changes to schedule, cost, and scope
      • Identify risks that may affect the project
      • Develop alternative IT options and backup plans

4. Close projects: Finalize all activities across all of the management process groups to formally complete the project.
      • Coordinate final quality assurance visit with contractor
      • Obtain formal acceptance of completed project by customer
      • Ensure contractual obligations are complete
      • Document lessons learned
