TSP Mission
The Fort Sam Houston Network Enterprise Center (NEC), Strategic and Tactical Architecture and Design Branch mission is to provide quality designs for inside and outside plant infrastructure for all military construction projects, ensuring that all regulatory and statutory guidelines are followed for the installation and provisioning of the highest quality data and telephony systems are available for all tenant activities supported by the NEC. In addition, the branch provides the long range planning, coordination, and integration of current and future technologies employed by strategic and tactical tenants necessary to accomplish mission goals.
What We Do
NEC Strategic and Tactical Architecture and Design Branch services include, but are not limited to:

  • Assess all Military Construction Army (MCA) Projects and Sustainment, Restoration, and Modernization (SRM) projects, identifying and providing designs for inside and outside plant infrastructure.

  • Provide Quality Assurance for communications plant infrastructure work concerning copper, fiber, ducts & maintenance hole System, pathways, poles, and drawings.

  • Architect upgrades in the installation’s backbone communications network including where appropriate installation facilities.

  • Design architecture, policies, and processes supporting NEC customers

  • Develop architecture and designs to implement core enterprise services including messaging, storage, directory and web services.

  • Plan, architect, and design technologies supporting Army NETOPS CONOPS and synchronize IT/AIS/ABCS systems and programs onto the DLAN/ICAN.

    		 The Confirguation Management Process (CMP) manages changes, additions and deletions to all existing systems and the implementation of approved changes to critical IT systems.
