Service members from the Navy Medical Training Center’s Petty Officers Association and the
Wardroom delivered a surprise to Gates Elementary School Dec. 16. The school received more than
40 children’s coats, most of them brand new. These two groups came together and collectively
gathered and purchased the coats for the children whose families have suffered the hardest during the recession, and are not able to afford basic necessities, such as coats.
