Ferdinand Shaw

Mr. Shaw serves as the Director of United States Army Signal Regional Network Enterprise Center - Southwest, TX with a span of responsibility that includes network support for (3) Operationally Controlled (OPCON) Network Enterprise Centers (NECs) located at Corpus Christi Army Depot, Red River Army Depot and McAlester Army Ammunition Plan. He manages a regional staff engaged in delivering and enforcing Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Information Management (C4IM) services, policies, standards, architectures, programs and plans to tenants assigned to the Fort Sam Houston Community.

His previous civil service assignment are: 106th Signal Brigade Deputy S3, Apr 2016 – Dec 2017; Director, United States Army Signal Network Enterprise Center Fort Polk, LA, Jul 2011 – Mar 2016; Chief, Service Management Division and Chief, IT Systems Support Division United States Army Signal Network Enterprise Center, Fort Riley, Kansas, Jul 2008 – Jul 2011. Mr. Shaw is an Army veteran and retired from active duty service in 2008.

Mr. Shaw’s Civilian education includes a M.B.A in Management, M.B.A in Human Resource Management and a B.S. in Information Technology Management. Certifications include: Fiber Optics Repairer/Installer, Project+, A+, Network+, Security+ and ITIL V3. He is a graduate of the NEC Leaders Course, CES Advanced Course, Civilian Education System Senior Leader’s Course and Supervisor Development Course.

His Awards and Honors include the Commander’s Award for Civilian Service, Superior Civilian Service Award, Quality Step Increase (QSI) and multiple annual monetary performance awards. Unit awards achieved under his leadership include Network Enterprise Center of the Year Fort Polk (2013).
